In everybody there is a leader, yet not all notice that leader.
Everyday you are doing leadership. Every moment. Don’t you live? And manage your life? You’re in reality leading yourself. Towards something, or towards nothing. However not all of us are great leaders. That is for sure.
We only notice leadership when it has to do with others. However the best leaders are those who lead themselves best. And the better they get in leading themselves, the better they become in leading others.
This might be because all people are kinda the same. The better you know yourself, the better you know others. And the better you know how to make yourself achieve things, the better you can help others.
Of course there are differences between you and the others. What works for you doesn’t necessarily work for others. Yet human beings have a lot in common. Strangely enough we think that each of us is so unique but reality says that in live we deal with what is common amongst people more than with what is unique in them.
So you want to lead others? Start with your first follower, yourself.
Believe me that follower is the hardest one to lead. And you become the bravest and strongest leader once you succeed in leading yourself towards what you want.
Imam Ali (a.s.) said: “The bravest is the one who defeats his own vagary”.
